Mpower Awards Gala
When you run a business, it’s tough, as well as the long hours & the extreme pressures, you never know whether you are doing a good job. Business Awards are a great way to receive recognition for all your hard work, whether you are a finalist or a winner, just to be acknowledged for what you have achieved means a lot.
When we were asked by Nicola Huelin, founder of Mpower Mums in Business, to help organise an amazing award gala, to celebrate all the amazing mums in business, we were very excited to be a part of it.
Nicola formed a team for the awards & they had lots of lavish ideas for how they wanted the evening to look & feel.
As with most events finding the venue was the main starting point, once we knew where, when & what time we could start, we could form the structure for the whole evening.
The main point that they were all agreed on, was that they wanted all the women who attended, to feel special & have an amazing time.
The venue was decided to be the Holiday Inn, Bloomsbury & the evening was to be reception drinks, 3 course meal, speeches, awards & an after party.
Our client had very strong ideas & plans for what she wanted, it was our job to make sure we could provide everything she needed, all whilst staying in budget.
We liaised with the venue to arrange catering choices, room layout & timings. We also provided some marketing support, handled bookings, guest lists & organised themes & branding.
On the day of the event we arrived to complete the set up with the venue team & the tech team to ensure everything was ready for the arrival of the hosts, the finalists & their guests.
Award galas are complex events & there are so many different jobs to be done to ensure everything runs smoothly. We worked really hard to bring everything together, each part of the team had their areas to oversee, so that everything ran as smoothly as possible.
The finalists & their guests arrived at 6.30pm for reception drinks with the host & judges before entering the main room for dinner, entertainment & of course the presentation of the awards.
The whole evening was fantastic, we were on site to ensure everything ran smoothly & to deal with any issues should they arise.
The atmosphere was electric & everyone had an amazing time
